"Have faith! Seek friends! Build communities!" - is how Prime Minister Viktor Orbán summed up the three key components of the Right's recipe for success at the first European CPAC in Budapest. The 12-point formula symbolizes everything that we, the organizers of the event, hold most valuable: strengthening our faith in the triune values of "God, Homeland, Family". The tremendously successful two-day international conservative gathering - attended by 1,500 participants and over 200 foreign guests - was the result of grueling work, but in light of the positive feedback - and, of course, the waves of leftist hysteria - it was worth every ounce of effort. CPAC Hungary, however, is not merely the success of the Center for Fundamental Rights, but of the entire Hungarian Right. After the jamboree in May 2022, our overseas partner, the American Conservative Union, concluded that Hungary's influence was indispensable: Viktor Orbán also opened their event in Dallas in August. This demonstrates that Hungary serves as a compass for conservatives around the world. We set an example because in the midst of global chaos our values remain eternal, our pragmatism is sober, our realism is natural, and our interests are national. Our resolve is firm, and the virtues that form the backbone of our political integrity speak of resilience. Yet we do not claim truth for ourselves, but give it to the Creator. Soli Deo gloria.
The aim of CPAC Hungary was to fulfil the globalist liberals' worst nightmare: international cooperation of national forces. For decades they have tried to convince us that the Right cannot unite on a transnational level, claiming that localism would keep us too tied to our respective places and breed conflict among us. But it has become clear that this is a perception imposed on us by the progressive internationalist media elite, not reality. They 'forgot' that their aggressive propaganda had gone too far: that in trying to break us away from our Judeo-Christian culture everywhere, in trying to eradicate national traditions with an intolerance for common sense, and in presenting what is given by the order of creation as obsolete, they were inadvertently giving us common causes to fight for. Our task, then, is nothing less than to bring together conservative, national, right-wing power centers. The political symbolism of CPAC, founded decades ago, is perhaps best summed up in the Prime Minister's words: "We must never play by the liberals' rules!”
We are proud that Hungary was the first country in Europe to host the world's most important gathering of patriots.
